Module 05 · Onboard operations
Capture machinery data from screens your AMS vendor won't open.
When a legacy or restricted system offers no practical data access, NauticalFlows captures existing monitor output without changing the AMS application — timestamping and retaining source frames for traceability and extracting configured values after vessel-specific validation.
Legacy systems, modern data
- 01Machinery visibility on older tonnage
- 02No changes to class-approved AMS software
- 03Evidence frames behind every captured value
Capabilities
What Monitor Capture does
Delivered through our pilot programme and configured per vessel during discovery.
Non-intrusive
Captures existing monitor or display output — the AMS application is untouched.
Traceable
Selected source frames are timestamped and retained as evidence.
Validated extraction
Configured values are extracted only after a vessel-specific proof of concept.
How it flows
A closed, auditable loop.
- 1
Survey
Identify screens and values worth capturing.
- 2
Configure
Define regions and values per vessel.
- 3
Prove
Validate extraction accuracy on the pilot vessel.
- 4
Operate
Feed captured values to PMS and dashboards.
Outcomes
What changes for your fleet
- Machinery visibility on older tonnage
- No changes to class-approved AMS software
- Evidence frames behind every captured value
Frequently asked
Does monitor recording modify the AMS?
No. It captures the existing display output. Extracted values are only used in production after validation on the specific vessel.
