Security, governance & reliability
Controls designed into access, sync and AI.
Your maintenance history, manuals and operational data are commercially sensitive. NauticalFlows treats them that way — on board, in transit and ashore.
Access & permissions
Role-based boundaries across vessel, fleet, corporate and knowledge information. Users retrieve only what they are authorised to access, scoped by company and vessel.
Authenticated synchronisation
Each vessel registers with shore and synchronises with its own token, separate from user logins. Back-office and vessel APIs are kept apart with distinct authentication.
Data continuity
Local operation on board, acknowledgement-based sync, separate file and metadata states, backup and recovery — so a dropped link never means lost data.
Audit trails
Change logs, notifications, sync history and postponement decisions are recorded against the records they affect.
Controlled releases
Vessel software ships as signed updates through release channels, and shore can see which installation runs which version.
Governed AI
Approved-source ingestion, source references and validation before production use. Configurable model providers, including private models. AI supports decisions — it does not replace OEM, class, regulation or qualified judgement.
Deployment options
Your environment or ours
The shore platform is containerised and can run in our managed environment or in your own infrastructure to meet IT and data-residency requirements. Attachments use S3-compatible object storage. Talk to us about your security questionnaire — we're happy to complete it.
Have a security questionnaire?
Send it over — our engineering team will answer it directly, and walk your IT team through the architecture.
